    Young Frankenstein The Musical

Got to catch this on the weekend. Liked it much better than The Producers.

Quite a bit of fun. As the film version was, this too was quite a loving homage to the old Universal Monster movies of old.

Of course Puttin' on the Ritz works even better in the Musical Stage Version than the original movie.

I'd go see it for sure. This September I'm probably gonna see the musical adaptation of Roman Polanski's The Fearless Vampire Killers

I had not heard of that!!! I really dig Fearless Vampire Killers. I hope I get to see that one.

Evil Dead the Musical. Toxic Avenger the Musical. Young Frankenstein. Rocky Horror.

One has to wonder how many "Monster" Musicals the market can bear!

Caught Young Frankenstein on Broadway during it's original run, loved it! The version I saw had Andrea Martin as the Frau.

Still liked Evil Dead better but YF was a close second.

When this was in Seattle a few years back, a co-worker's girlfriend had the job of handing out free tickets to seat fillers. This co-worker had offered me tickets to so many shows that I said no thank you to. Nevertheless, he kept asking anyway. So when he ask me about YF the musical, I said in a very low-key manner; "I'd like to say no, but my wife would kill me if I did." It took him a couple of seconds to realize I had just said yes for the first time. My wife and I had a great time. Oh and I got the card stock poster from him afterwards.

I know there are bootleg DVDs of an Evil Dead musical floating around. I saw a dealer with one at a show last weekend. Didn't buy it, though. If you'd like, I'll keep an eye out and get it for you next time I see one.

The bit with the old man and the soup still cracks me up no matter how many times I see it.
