Cheerleader Camp

This weekend I decided to rewatch Cheerleader Camp. Not a great film by any stretch of the imagination, but it stars the delightful Betsy Russell who is currently starring as the bride of SAW in the latest from that series of films.

What is most interesting about this one is how they tried their best to meld Meatballs and Friday the 13th into one movie, with predictably unsatisfactory results.

On paper though, it has everything I would love in a movie, Slashers, Cheerleaders and humour involving bodily functions. Perhaps it was an idea ahead of it's time and in the future we will see a successful blend of Bring It On and Hostel.
