Turistas

Last night's horror/thriller movie was Turistas.

I was pleasantly surprised that it falls more into the Thriller category than the torture-porn of Hostel and Saw.

With the exception of the one torn-from-the-tabloids hinge that the plot rests upon, they really tap into some of the very realistic fears that tourists have and build on that quite convincingly at first to suck you into the world of the film.

Great set piece with an underwater cave system.

I saw that film last year, and it had me on the edge of my seat, it certainly was a good ride. The underwater scenes were amazingly filmed.

That movie came out the night before my wife and I were headed to Guatemala on vacation. She made me wait until we were home again, good movie though.

Now that is one crazy *** movie makes you wonder that that really happens somewhere in the world today.
