Amityville Horror was really a stinkfest

I'm talking about the original (I never seen the 2005 remake - which I heard was even worse)

Anyway, last night I borrowed Amityville Horror from a buddy (I haven't seen it in ages) and watched it last night ...

Wow, that movie was so bad and not scary

I can't believe back in the day I was actually a little scared while watching it

They say the scariest thing is the stuff you don't see ... Well this movie proves that theory wrong

Biggest laugh I got was the end when James Brolin sees the Pink Floyd concert pig balloon floating in the window

Amityville Horror is one of the biggest movies that let me down rewatching it today after so long.

No way!! I was so terrified while watching that movie. You really telling me I'd laugh today? I don't believe it.

I'm too scared to watch that still.

I picked up a copy last year at Big Lots. I have to agree, the movie has not aged well. That being said, I still jump when that damned cat jumps in the window

I tried like hell to watch Amityville 2 last year, it is of poor quality.

People say time has not been kind to a lot of the classics.
I took my buddy to see The Exorcist when it was rereleased in the theatres. Lots of people were laughing through the whole thing.

I still like it. I enjoy the "let's not make a gorefest" style.
              The sequels do suck, though....

I thought the remake was pretty good...all things considered.

Amityville Horror and Shining both have lost their scare appeal to me...The Exorcist is another story.

                            Hmmmm....

I was a kid when it came out, and I remember EVERYBODY being terrified by it. Me and my grandfather (also a big horror movie fan) went and saw it and I was.... surprised. It was really blah. I fell asleep a few times while watching it.

I haven't seen it in years, but it freaked me out since it was supposedly a true story. The couple came clean a few years back that the whole thing was a hoax.
