Thomas, was Matt the guy that did the run of 50's monsters, too? I remember boxes and a display box with them. As for faves, gotta go with the Frankenstein Monster. There's a lot of creative liscense that can be taken with a action figure of him as you will soon see.

      >Has anyone done a "Bride" head, or does the Aurora head work in scale?

The Aurora one is a bit small. A few people have done the Bride; Scott Metzger did one with a rerooted Mego head that looked really good.

....and my favourite classic monster? Godzilla.

Runner ups...Boris Karloff's monster and Creature from the Black Lagoon...

I absolutely DESPISE vampires...the only one I like is Blade...because he KILLS them...lol.

But if you want to know what sculpt I would like to see that I don't already have, you're on the right track with that Nosferatu and London after Midnight sculpt.
            Thanks.
I went through the thread and edited my posts. Apparently I've been mis-typing in the wee hours of the morning.
            Love that collection pic!

I want to keep the project going with head sculpts and few accessories, that will fit an 8" mego body (male or female). Working on Lady Falcon I considered a Man-Bat, then realize how much work would go into cutomizing the body (head, wing-arms, upper torso and lower legs). Not that I can't do it, I just don't have the doll body to rework. Too many characters will require custom body types. For this reason, Hunchback is on a back burner for now. I'm considering a Penguin body with custom torso. Know anyone who has repros of this body type for sale?

A head I think would be a HUGE hit, but is seldom thought about, is ... Colin Clive as Dr. Frankenstein. Think about it. There are great Frankenstein monster figures out there, but not one of his maker. Colin Clive is just as iconic, yet you seldom ever see a custom job, except in model kits. I think that would be a great idea.

Great idea! Still I'm really trying to avoid Universal and likness so I'm not sure how much Colin Clive I want in the design. Same with the Bride. Even Fritz would require avoiding the Dewight Frye look.
Dr. Frankenstein: I'm looking to avoid all actors who have played this roll.
The Bride: Can't use the Universal bee hive, and that's 80% of the character identification.
I could see using The Fly, if called something like "Insect-O-Scientist".
This is so hard, I've begun to consider stupid characters like cave/apeman.
Jack the Ripper and Sweeny Todd are limited too, but they are sadly some of the best ideas I'm coming up with.

About Man-Bat: You can get a hairy torso from Laurie, so you wouldn't need to make that. As far as wing arms, I did my Man-Bat with wings the Mego way, like the Falcon, sewn to the suit. And he'd be wearing pants, so all you'd really need are custom hands and feet. And I used werewolf hands and feet on mine

Hmmm...I like so many B pictures, that I never thought of having a fave. But I think if I had to choose, I'd pick The Creature From the Black Lagoon.

Either Frankenstein or Creature from the Black Lagoon rock the best.. Always loved seeing the underwater scenes of the Creature swimming across the screen..
