    Captain Company memories

I am sure that many of you used to read Famous Monsters, Vampirella, Creepy, and Erie magazines way back in the 60s and 70s, I know I did.

Half the fun of them was all of the cool advertisements in the back featuring model kits, masks, 8mm movies, records, dolls, etc.
The only thing I ever ordered was a werewolf mask and it took forever to come. Once it did it was very flimsy and cheap looking. I was disappointed, but got over it quickly.
That did not deter me from continuing to enjoy the magazines and the ads in the back.

Are there any links to old pix of those ads?

Never! That stuff'll rot your brain....

I loved the ads 'cos it looked like there was an endless supply of weird stuff out there; and every month there was another tiny, blurred pic of some odd geegaw.
