I do have it on dvd-r. The source told me it was a transfer from film (16mm?) and it is very clean for bootleg.
There are 2 on ebay right now...but his cover art is way different than the one i have.

I'm a PocketPC user. I have a program that allows me to rip dvds into smaller files so i can watch em..kinda like an iPod. I just did this show in its smallest form- 320x250 in Windows Media Format. It made a movie file of 80 megs. I just zipped it and uploaded it to my webhost. Download it here:

Hmmmm....

I'm still betting there's a studio release coming sometime. The SCREAM version seemed digital and clean to me. I'd love to see Gargoyles too. THAT movie rocked! Creeped me out when I was a kid too, especially the speech at the beginning. (About the devil being kicked out of heaven. I think that was the first time I'd heard that story.)

Another made for TV horror movie I'd love to see is "Frankenstein: The True Story." But I haven't seen it or Gargoyles for over 25 years.

Ohhh Gargoyles is another favorite of mine and I have the DVD of that one. That one never freaked me out like Don't be Afraid did. Although the "leaf blower/weed eater" sound effects when they attacked kinda creeped me out!

And I am tempted to buy the DVD, but am not sure I want to be tramatize myself all over again! It took me 25 years to get over it!

I just bought that very Frankenstein film at Walmart a few months ago. In fact, I think they still have it on thier shelves. I had seen it when I was a kid but have not watched the whole thing yet. Its a long film!

It played as a two evening "movie of the week" deal; so it's got to be at least three hours long.

Is there anyone here who can transfer vhs to dvd? I have Gargoyles but its on vhs and would like to transfer it to dvd. I'd be willing to let anyone have a copy because I know it is hard to come by.

Freak that movie scared the hell out of me as a kid!!...couldn't sleep with the lights off and I swear I would see things from the corner of my eye......I saw it years later when I was older and it was still good. I refuse to own a copy of this....lol!

Oh my God!!! Everyone gives me a blank stare when I mention Dont be afraid of the dark" or "Gargoyles" -- I loved those movies as a kid!!! You guys rock

I will do my best to dig out that DVD, i know i have it for sure! When we moved from our old house to here it was packed and never unpacked. Anyway back on July 3rd i broke my leg in 3 places, and surgery on the leg July 13th, i'm still on crutches doing alot of physical therapy weekly. Now my lower left leg is held together by a rod, screws and pins!!

Hopefully when toysrus gets better he could find his copy and hook us up

Gargoyles is so great! Saw it on tv as a kid in the 70's and it totally freaked me out. The gargoyle suits were made by now deceased spfx make-up genius Stan Winston.
A cheap region 4 version is available here in Australia, so happily i have it in my dvd collection now
