    Dracula A love tale

    IMG_20260206_101019.jpg
When a 15th-century prince denounces God after the loss of his wife he inherits an eternal curse: he becomes Dracula. Condemned to wander the centuries, he defies fate and death, guided by a single hope - to be reunited with his lost love.

Dracula A Love Tale was an interesting take on Bram Stoker's Dracula. Yes there are parts from the original book but then some original parts to make it interesting. Worth seeing at the theater.

We saw this last weekend, and we both enjoyed it. There are many elements that were drawn directly from 1992's Bram Stoker's Dracula, which itself drew heavily from Dan Curtis' Dracula/Bram Stoker's Dracula (1974). It also seemed like a love letter to many other Dracula features that came before it. We saw what seemed deliberate nods to films like the 1931 Universal classic, the Hammer films, and of course Dan Curtis' work & Coppola's feature, in addition to 2004's Van Helsing, and heck even Netflix's 2020 effort. While not quite epic, it's definitely worth a watch.
