I can never get enough of these films, thank you for the article and for making a point about the performances of the '30s versus the rallies of the '40s.

I enjoy Werewolf of London, but the cold Dr. Glendon is no match for Chaney, Jr's Wolfman. However, that's really the only film of the "wave 2" cycle (beginning after Son of Frankenstein) that I'd solidly recommend.

Thanks also for recognizing the contribution of Zita Johan to The Mummy.

WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.
