    The Monkey

BF and I just got back from watching The Monkey:
    th (10).jpg

The Monkey is a 2025 American comedy horror[6] film based on the 1980 short story by Stephen King. The film adaptation is written and directed by Osgood Perkins. Its plot follows twin brothers whose lives are turned upside down by a cursed toy monkey that causes random horrific deaths.

Maybe our since of humor has gotten darker but we found this movie first into the "Humorus Horror". The way people get killed was just that dark humor that we like.

This may not work for most of the horror culture but it based on the Stephen King story. Like I said we enjoyed it but if we didn't have our movie pass I do not think we would have gone and watched this at the theater.

We were on the fence about this one, having only seen the teaser for it. After reading your review and watching the trailer you posted, we decided to go ahead and see it. We had some AMC gift cards collecting dust since we have to go up the grade for the nearest AMC theater (our locals are Cinemark, Regal & a smaller chain Santa Rosa). We both enjoyed it since we appreciate this type of dark humor as well. The Aunt Ida scene, and the scenes that follow the manic drumming moment had us rolling. That and Theo James up on the big screen, always a plus! Thank you for the inspiration. Enjoyed it so much, we ended up buying The Monkey popcorn tin...

My theater didn't get the popcorn bucket in but may order it from AMC.

We saw this bucket, which was pretty cool, when we went to see The Wolf Man at our local Cinemark a few weeks back, but we didn't buy it...
