Kind of a guilty pleasure, it seems EVERY Channel on cable has Walker on right now! HAHAHA

During the 97-99 runs they introduced a pair of characters known as the SONS OF THUNDER, they were a hit and got a SPIN OFF which lasted ONLY 5 episodes in the summer of 99.

Here is the strange thing. Those five episodes got HIGHER RATINGS then Walker at the time.

And the show was cancelled and we never heard from those characters again.

    Hmm...

Norris I can take or leave, I loved him in the OCTAGON, and just cause he PLAYS a honorable ranger on TV, does NOT MEAN he is an honorable man.

    ACTORS Act.

I do remember JONATHAN HARRIS in the early 70's had to HELP Norris with he speech and talking, and he claimed he INSERTED his HAND INTO Chucks mouth to help him with his elocution!

My family enjoyed this. I doubt it's going to rate as an all-time classic, but fun, and has more heart than I expected. Essentially an MCU Christmas film, cribbing a LOT of visuals and concepts from those films. But it worked well. The Rock was a little less smug in this one, and Evans continues to be the best thing about most projects he's in, even if the material is kind of beneath his talents. J.K. Simmons is the second coolest Santa, after Kurt Russell of course.

Can't say the same about Dear Santa with Jack Black, however. That one was fine up into the very disturbingly cavalier ending. I'm not sure who that movie was made for.

I meet Chuck Norris way back in the 1980’s, at the Harvard bookstore in Boston. He was signing his autobiography book, and was only supposed to be there for 2 hours, but he stayed until everyone waiting for him outside in the rain got to meet him. I think he was there well past the time allowed, he was super nice and a soft spoken guy. He didn’t just say hi and scribble his name quick on the inside book cover, he actually smiled at you, said hello and thanked you for buying his book.

I got to shake hands with him and maybe had a one minute conversation with him. What’s amazing is he could tell by the way I was standing in front of him, and asked me if I was currently taking martial arts classes? I told him yes and the studio name and he said, I know the place and that he was friends with Billy Blanks who ran the studio.

Chuck Norris is the type of guy you never met, but the way he talks to you, you feel like you’ve been friends with him for years.

I've always found Norris dull, even as a kid, but Walker is so campy that it's hypnotic. It's like they added poorly choreographed action to some Hallmark movie.

for me, John Wayne and his movies are just so old and dated that i cannot sit through them. there are some good ones in his later years, in particular the Shootist was really good, and his last movie I believe. Chuck Norris was just the karate guy, not really an actor though he certainly made a career of it. as a kid i like his movies but other than his appearance in the Expendables i have not watched one of his movies in decades

I like the fact that they included Krampus in the movie. That was fun.

Same here. Also, Chuck Norris. Never really got into his stuff.

Yeah, a few actors trade more on their public persona than their actual chops. I'd put Kevin Costner in there as well.

I've never gotten the allure of John Wayne. My dad dragged me to a couple of his last flicks as a kid but it didn't take.

He's done some fun things I've enjoyed, but I think he's peaked in some respects. "Black Adam" was a sign that his brand, price tag and demands aren't worth it, I felt he made that movie worse, his character was too one note.

His bold prophecies about Black Adam and Red One seem to have hurt his credibility as well. He probably needs to stop with the bubblegum stuff.

that's true to a point. I think Arnold has a bit more nuance in his characters though. but it is a fair point
