How in the WORLD did I forget Phantasm! Musta had a brain cramp. That's what I get for posting when I am at work and my concentration is elsewhere. Change my list to make that #2 as well.

I'm never at home on Halloween night, always out trick-or-treating with the kids, but if I were I'd probably pick:
                  Bride of Frankenstein
                  The Wolfman
The Horror of Dracula (Christopher Lee)
                  Monster Squad
                  Young Frankenstein

But I've already watched most of these this season, so the list may vary.

I will get out the Hammer films with Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing.

Also love original Halloween, Fright Night, Evil Dead, Lost Boys, Slither, and will probably watch the Andy Griffith Show episode where they visit a haunted house.

For me, it's pretty much any B picture:

                        Tarantula
                        The Wasp Woman
                        The Killer Shrews
                        Attack Of The Giant Leeches
                        The Brain That Wouldn't Die
                        ...and the list goes on!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

                              Paranormal Activity (Definitely!!)
I like your list...but...Aliens over ALIEN???

Aliens is a shoot 'em up space cowboy flick...yes...I love that movie...but not for Halloween...the original ALIEN is much better suited for Halloween...it's much more atmospheric and creepy than its sequel...come on now my brother.

                                Original Halloween
                                Lugosi Dracula

Those are some of the scariest, most atmospheric movies of all time. Not filled with all the blood and gore of todays crap, where the veiwers imagination has been removed and everything is figured out for you with CGI. These films one must watch and actually consume, fill in blanks and gaps. What goes on in ones mind is far more frightning than what any CGI can produce, why, because only the individual knows what scares them most.
