Short Lived Monster Shows

Okay so I was flipping through the guide on my Fios to see what SyFy will be airing for shows this Halloween season. I saw today they were airing Wolf Lake from 10 am - 5pm . That got me Thinking about shows that were Vampire and / or Werewolf that really had potential but fell flat because of either a lost cast member or writer ,or even the network interferring with producers.

I really felt Wolf Lake and Kindred The Embraced had some potential. Anyone else have any others they would have liked to have gone beyond 10-12 eps ?

Kolchak, would have been nice to see it last longer. The original, not that bogus one of a few years ago.

Show I really miss are Angel and firefly I know firefly was not monsters but it was space and it was like only 12 aired eps.Angel was 5 seasons but I think ended a season or two way to soon.Especially considering how big Vampires are nowadays.

I watched a handful of Buffy and Angel , but never really got into them. I have never watched Firefly ..... Maybe I should finally check that out.

That FoxTV show Werewolf comes to mind for me.

I may be an oddity but I really liked the remade version of Dark Shadows (I think 1980's) It lasted less than a full season and I was really dissappointed when it was canceled, JOHN

Eerie, Indiana was a pretty fun little show. I remember the kids whose mother kept them sealed in Tupperware at night so they didn't age.

Shout! had planned to release this on DVD this month but had to cancel it at the last minute due to music rights issues.

I enjoyed it to,didn't they make a come back a few years after their initial run?
Can't remember if it was the same kids in the new series or not?

I think there was a second series in the late '90s (syndicated?) with different kids, but I never saw it.

Agreed. The last season of Angel was when it was really picking up steam.

They certainly had just gotten a great cast together.
truly unfortunate that two cast members are now passed on.

You got to be kidding me!!!!!! All I have been able to find are bootleg copies recorded from TV!
