Looked ok untill you heard Freddy's voice and got a look at his face. Not really sure I can deal with the new sound and look of Freddy but I will more than likely give it a look.
I like Wes Cravens Original .Soo far the last 10 years I hated all the remakes of the classics of Friday the 13th,Texas Chainsaw, and R Zombies Halloween ,but this actually looks like a winner !
I didn't see anything that turned me away from this remake, unlike recent ones like Halloween and Friday the 13th. But, on the other hand, I didn't see anything I hadn't already seen from the original. So what am I paying over $7.00 to see? I think I'll pass on this one too. I have the originals and seldom watch those except the first two during Halloween. I think this is a series that didn't need a remake.
the only cancer associated with this film is the name Michael Bay who will more than likely have really stupid and dumb teenage crap moments throughout the film, just like most of every other movie he has his name with
Other than that the film looked some what promising. Kelly should just use the Rorschach voice
"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"
Starroid Raiders Dagon wrote "No Dime Store Monster left behind"

It shows what really happened to Freddy and how he was killed, that looks like the best part
I think it looks half decent actually. As long as they don't do something totally stupid in the end like in texas chainsaw remake where they hack off his arm or something...
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

....AND explosions!
This is another film there's no reason to remake except to say "we remade the GOOD one, so it'll be okay." Every Nightmare film (and slasher flick in general) is pretty much the same; so a remake is STILL gonna feel old hat. We KNOW his origin, it was on the Simpsons.... sot they're not gonna add anything there.
