I'm listenting to the radio and they announce that MTV is working on a series based on the old "Teen Wolf" movies. The twist? It's NOT a comedy.

For years now there's been a tendency of taking old serious shows and comedying them up, and I'd always felt it a matter of time until things went the other way. Could this be the first? On the radio they described it as more of an "American Werewolf in Paris" sort of show.

What next? The dark "Mork and Mindy?" Gran'pa Munster eating the neighbors? The tough, gritty cop drama "SledgeHammer?"

Good point. Considering that "Teen Wolf" was exactly that, a goofy remake of "I was a Teenage Werewolf" anyway, I guess it's not too strange an idea.

My first thought was that the success of "Twilight" influenced that decision.

Hmmm...Grandpa Munster is a VAMPIRE???

That would be an interesting take on the characters but probably unnecessary since the MUnsters were a comedic take on the serious monsters to begin with.

You forgot to add that with The Munsters remake that Herman will rip the arms off of people while doing that goofy laugh of his.
