      oh good god no......the film from a couple of years back was bad enough.

        Well, the 1998 version clearly showed how to completely f**k up an original concept.
        It had NOTHING to do with Godzilla, except for the title, and the fact that it was about a giant monster.
        It's like: "Oooh, that idea has worked great for 50 years. So, we'll change everything about it and alienate all fans. Great!"
