I liked House of 1,000 Corpses and Devil's Rejects, but was very unimpressed with Zombie's take on Halloween. Explaining away Michael Myers as coming from a dysfunctional white-trash home as the reason for him being unbalanced kind of takes away from him a big part of his menace - he was far more creepier in the first version, as his family seemed normal and he was just a bad seed (evil strikes when you least expect it is far scarier than watching the kid get abused over and over again until he snaps).
Much as I like Zombie's work, I'd rather have watched Carpenter's version again."It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. "Why oh why" is exactly what I said after I saw the remake. An abomination compared to the original by every measure. It made lots of money it's first weekend because it was advertised as a remake of the classic...(total lie). It quickly disappeared once people realized it was crap. This sequel, by the same hack director, will prove his original money maker was front loaded and GARBAGE. I look forward to seeing it tank.

I really wonder what JC thought of this, I had read he wasnt real happy it was going to be redone. But I wonder what he thought of the final version?
I havent seen it, dont want to see it, from what I have read thats enough to stir me away.

Zombie's Better When He's Rocking out,.. scene him a Couple of Times,.. Has a very inventive Stage Show,.. Almost like your watching a Musical of Horror or something ...
I have some Interest in seeing Halloween 2,.. However I never scene the Origional Remake,.. & Only scene like 4 of the Origionals as well..., I find the character of Micheal Myer's just a Snooze Fest all around,.. But thats How I feel about Most "Slasher" Flicks. I can't stand them,.. Unless there is a Twist,.. Like SAW 1 ,.. or Scream 1. ... They were different,.. & very creative imo.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
