Looks better than the first one. My wife dragged me to see it. They spent so much time staring at each other with the camera moving around them they forgot to write them much of a story. I think the director was to blame for that.
...They spent so much time staring at each other with the camera moving around them...
Exactly.
A friend recently had a birthday party and we all sat down and watched Twilight and riffed it MST3K/Rifftrax style. It was a blast. We all laughed so hard that we actually enjoyed the movie by mocking it. No offense to anyone that liked it. It just wasn't our collective cup of tea.
I may watch New Moon. If it's anything like the first one my friends and I will have to have another Rifftrax party. The new "angle" of the second one is no surprise to me since my wife loves the book series and so I've heard all about it. I saw the clip on the MTV awards and liked the "reveal" at the end though. Cool special effect.

I liked the wolf effect too. I asked my wife if that was the way he transformed in the book and she said it was accurate. Guess I am use to the old werewolf movies from the 80's and 90's where it took like 10 minutes to transform.

yeah that instant transformation was pretty bad. Man they really buffed up that kid for this film
My wife loved the books and the movie...me i couldn't stand it. Reminded me too much of Titanic, logic tossed out for the case of "love"
I actually preferred Titanic. Atleast Leonardo and Winslet didn't act, or act badly, as angst aloof teenagers. And of course there was all the stuff breaking and crashing. That was fun.
I read "Twilight" before letting my tweener read it and although I liked the action scenes, the love scenes were a bit over the top for me. My daughter is a huge fan and being the good dad took her to see it. Again, I enjoyed watching the action sequences but the rest of it was kind of blah.
She has read the entire series and thought New Moon was the most boring of the series but that is coming from a teenagers point of view who is more interested in the romantic aspect of the movie.

I liked Twilight...and I'm definitely watching this one.
Like Damien said...that Native American kid was going to be dropped from the movie because he was too slight...so he buffed up...and convinced the producers to keep him on as Jacob/werewolf...his hard work paid off.
I like the fact the werewolf is not humanoid...that has been played out to death...this steroided out wolf are more in the Native American folk style...I like it.
***SPOILER***
That black vampire gets ripped to shreds by the werewolves...lol.
I will just say the first one made me sleepy cause it was waaaaaaaaaaay to tweeny love storyish but the action from that clip alone hypes up my intrest to watch this one.
Plus that vamp didn't look all silvery and flashy more evil with eyes fangs and claws just the way I like my vamps.
