Day of the Dead remake

It's hard to come up with something new but it's not impossible to pull of something entertaining.

I have a good friend who's a huge horror fan and we seem to share taste, he's an awesome barometer for things like this. I asked him about this movie and he just said "no, don't bother"

yeah Dawn was good and so was Land of the dead,but Day of the dead did suck ***!

Reminds me of "Return of the Living Dead part 2": "If you really loved me, you'd let me eat your brains...."

It's tough to come up with a new take on the zombie thing.

I liked the Dawn remake a lot (hey, I was surprised myself) and love seeing Ving Rhames be really tough, so I took a chance on Day of the Dead.

Man, what a disappointment.
Rhames gets top billing, but gets five minutes of screen time. At most.

As for the story: Steve (Friday 13th) Miner obviously had a left-over Jason script. So we getting fornicating teenagers, the woods, and chase scenes.
All that was missing was CH-CH-CH.......

Nowadays, all zombies are olympic athletes (running, jumping), they shoot guns, man, they're the Bionic Dead (cool name for a band, though).
The disease spreads like wildfire, humans going from normal "drinking coffee" to ravenous/rotting face in five seconds.

And the best part: a guy gets zombified, but the girl lead takes him along anyway because "he's a vegetarian, and he likes her!"
He's sooo cute!!!!!
