    New Metallica song!

Any Metallica fans? How do you guys like the new Metallica song? " The Day That Never Comes " ! You can hear it at www.Metallica.com

To me its a cool song, not all an out kick *** thrash metal song! But its a heavy quality made Metallica song! I say the best i heard from Metallica since " The Black CD ". But of course thats just my opinion. I'm looking forward to the new CD come Sept.

Metallica Rocks. Master of Puppets, Welcome Home (Sanitarium) and Creeping Death are still my favorite Metallica songs by far. I hope their new stuff is good.

I love Metallica and I hope they can pull themselves from the slumpt that was created because of that horribly mixed album, "St. Anger."
Alot of people speculate that the horrible mix was done on purpose just to test fans and see if people would actually still buy the album.

Hopefully with a new producer and engineer, Metallica can get back to the way people liked them, hard, heavy and agressive.

Even though I did not list them recently on my list. Metallica was one of my favorite bands back in the day. Creeping Death, Master of Puppets, Ride The Lightning, Garage Days, Metallica - Metallica, And justice for all. I pretty much stopped listening to them for the most part after their harder stuff became softer. The new song is OK in my opinion. It may take a while longer to grow on me some.

Metallica was my favorite band for many years. When the Black album came out, I knew it was down hill. I didn't even got to the concert when they came in support of it. I met them on the Justice tour and couldn't have been happier. I was fornt row-center and was beside myself. James was my favorite guitar player for years.

I listened to this song and if this is the best that's on the new album, I think I'll skip it. It's going to take a long to wash the stink of St. Anger of them for me. I was hoping with Slayer's producer, they might sound more raw and riffy like Garage Days (eventhough it was all covers, it was pure energy).

So far, I'm underwhelmed. Although it is by far better than St.Anger.

Between St. Anger and Lars Ulrich's petulant attack on fans who used Napster...when the same fans spent HUNDREDS in many instance on the "Live Sh#t Binge and Purge" Box...I dropped Metallica into my "Nah, no thanks, never again" box a long time ago. Had the chance to see them at Bonnaroo on a press pass this summer, and even blew that off. Their time has just past for me.

The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.” - The Dalai Lama

Metallica's still around ? I thought they gave it up after Cliff died, I mean, what was the point anymore ?

Thank God I saw them at their best (Monsters Of Rock Tour '88...And Justice For All). Honestly, their best days are far behind them.

From about 5min 20secs in it just sounds like Iron Maiden to me.
As much as I like the `build up` of tracks like Welcome Home Sanitarium, One and so on, sometimes I wish, as with this track, that they'd just go all out or stick with the more acoustic tempo. This sounds like they are trying to demo all their styles into one pot. It may grow on me, but first impressions are not good.

They have just played the Reading Festival here and the footage I watched on TV was fantastic. It was a crowd pleasing set. A lot of good old classics from the first 3 albums.
"I should say I`m very much cleverer than any of the people who put me here. As a matter of fact, I could leave any time I wanted. It`s only a doll`s house after all. Anyway, I don`t mind. I like dolls" - The Mad Hatter, Arkham Asylum.

This is one of two new Metallica songs that are available online. The Day That Never Comes is OK, but I really like the other new one. It's called Cyanide. If you look up "Metallica Cyanide" on Youtube, you'll find a 7 minute video of them playing the song for the first time live. The sound quality is OK, but the song itself rocks. It's got a really catchy bass line in the beginning and the hook is heavier than anything they've written in 15 years. I'm an old school Metallica guy. Haven't purchased an album or seen them live since the Black album. But I'm actually looking forward to hearing this new one.

Yeah I like that song also! Cant wat for the release. But i was hoping for more songs, 10 isnt enough for me. Who knows maybe more new songs were left off this cd.

Check out the other new song you mentioned----http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZ62cY8m7hI
