Maybe this was brought up before but just heard it today on the radio.

I know most tv shows are complete bombs on the big screen but if they do this right, I think they could really pull this off and make it into a really good film.

It was one of the first tv shows to be made into a movie that I didn't immediately think "not going to work". Anyone else hear about this?

That link you provided is from 2002, so you can tell how long this purported movie has been rumored about. Supposedly something is starting to come together, but I don't see so much as a pre-production status listed on imdb.

I heard something on the radio this morning and apparently the script has been finalized.

I couldn't find a more recent link with any updated news but there was a brief quote from the producer of the movie that this is no longer rumor but will start filming soon.

Which mentions that back in February, it was supposed to start filming in July. But nothing has happened. No casting, no pre-production. If it was even CLOSE to filming, there'd be a status listing for it on imdb. There isn't. In other words, don't hold your breath.

They already did it...it was called Hancock.

Well, this is just from a few days ago...not much information but it sounds like they are in talks to cast the movie.

I can't help but remember back in the day... before Sony got Spiderman, there would be reports every 2 years of a Spiderman movie coming out. Heck, I remember reading an interview with James Cameron where he stated the Spiderman scenes were all shot (stuntman of course) and that they just needed to cast Peter Parker. Right.

So, I'll believe this GAH movie stuff when I see a coming soon trailer.
