    Does anyone else HATE waiting....

    ... for packages??

I'm on vacation this week and it would be a perfect time for a package from say CTVT to arrive. We didn't go away this year as my wife has been battling a bad case of gall bladder disease. She's been dealing with it for years and we only just found out what all these little problems she's been having have been caused by. She didn't want to have a bad attack out in the woods or something so we bought the kids a huge pool with some of the money and stayed home. Boy I'd love to get some stuff before I have to go back to work.

Anyone else get the jitters or whatever this is while waiting for packages?

I don't know what it is but I am waiting entirely too long for all the stuff I bought at the beginning of the month. I picture the customs playing with them.

Some stuff gets here superfast but other things crawl, the coolest thing I got this week was a granola bar sample!

Sorry to hear about the misuss.

Yeah, nothings worse than having time to enjoy things, and having nothing to enjoy. Seems to always happen to me. When something I've been anticipating comes in, I'm up to my neck in work or family commitments.

I'm currently waiting on some ebay swag for the wife's birthday. I hope it gets here in time!!!

Also sorry to hear about your wife. Good luck.

Yeah, I got that going on too, I started some customs a month ago but the wait for the parts is agonizing.

Waiting for a package to arrive is like Christmas to me. Even one day seems like eternity.

Yeah. I love getting stuff but that order from CTVT is going to have my Merry Men in it. I love my Robin Hood and can't wait to see the others up close and personal. They aren't vintage Megos but I still think they are worth the $ to have in my collection. I also got a few repro bits I'd like to put on a few guys like a belt for my Astronaut who's been beltless for years. lol.

Oh and we went to a surgeon yesterday and he plans on taking the gall bladder out in September so things are looking up. Poor thing has lost 25 pounds because eating makes the pain worse.

I paid for something back in Feb. from Mr. Flatt and am still waiting for it to arrive. Problem is he's hard to reach to check on it. So yea...

Hope your wife is better soon.

That is the #1 reason why I order reproduction and other parts from Dr. Mego. I get my stuff within a day or two. Most other people I have waited up to a week or two weeks.

If I find out from other people that there is a delay more then a week with some people, I won't even touch them. When I order stuff, it is something I really need and need it ASAP. That is how I am with this biz.

sounds like your stuck wrath with what you got...most of the time it takes longer than just a week or two because this is a hobby for us also ,i know people who has waited months for their stuff from me and others on here i try not for it to take as long but it happens more times than not sometimes mail gets lost , ect..but i do try to reply to my emails all the time just to let people know that their not forgotten sometimes it take awhile for quility work also and sometime others have a life that just comes up from time to time lol ... also i know i've waited for reproduction parts as you call them for 3-6 weeks myself as well as most others here

I have learned patience from this hobby. Given a choice, I want it right now. In reality, I live in a rural area, and so I have to order stuff, or wait till I go to a more populated area. Or I have to wait for it to come up on ebay, then wait for the auction to end, then wait for stuff to ship. Lots of practice waiting. With customizing parts, I realize it is a hobby for those guys too but they have have always come thru, and usually throw in something nice for being patient. If I have to wait, I certainly can, but I definately prefer not too.

I don't get angry waiting. I undertstand it can takw a while to ge things up here and things can take time. I think it's just the anticipation. I want to play! lol

When I think about the new EMCE Trek's I start getting antsy, but I just try to forget about them so I can be happily suprised when they land at my front door.

Hmm...I would say anticipation is the joy of waiting...
I have ordered from many people waiting upwards of almost 4 months sometimes.
You take the good with the bad.I remember as a kid no matter what you ordered or from where it always said "please allow 8-10 weeks" so even in this day and age.I give a minimum of that allowable time frame.
I do agree with one simple fact quality takes time and I have not been disappointed yet by any of our customizers!!!
                              You guys rock!!!
