    Speaking of cartoons.... HELP!!!!

Does anyone remember this cartoon. I seen this as a kid like one time and I never caught the name of the cartoon. I would really like to see it again for old time sake. I know this is a long shot, but the members here at The Museum have been pretty knowledgeable to rare request before so here goes... I am hoping someone else seen it and remembers it as well. The best and only way that I can describe the said cartoon based on my memory of it is that there was two cats that caught a mouse down by the docks. The whole scenario is basically the two cats go back and forth over who will actually get to eat the mouse. I can remember that the cats were not trusting of one another. At one point one cat actually tied the other cat down to a mattress because he caught him getting ready to eat the mouse. With the mouse safely back in the cage the cat that tied the offending cat down to the mattress had the same idea in mind and went back to the mouse to eat it for himself. Right about that time the other cat shows up right behind the cat getting ready to eat the mouse catching him just as he was caught red handed before being tied down to the mattress. I realize that this may or may not be a whole lot to go on. Any thoughts anyone? I do not believe that this was a Tom and Jerry cartoon for those that may be wondering that.

Sounds like a Sylvester skit to me???
    It does ring familiar though.
“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”

Could it have been one of the Merry Melodies cartoons? I think I can remember the one you're talking about. I don't know if they were played by any of the famous characters.

I am unfamiliar with the Merry Melodies cartoons. Not to say that it may not be the one. I do not think that the characters (the two cats) were famous characters from what I can remember. I want to think that it was not Tom from Tom and Jerry and I really don't remember one of them being Sylvester either.

I think this is a Sylvester cartoon featuring Syl's sometime rival, that yellowish cat with the mussed head of hair, whose voice was similar to Pete Puma {the Bugs Bunny foil) but not quite as dumb. Can't think of his name and I don't know the name of the 'toon, either... but I know I've seen it.
