Well I got a referral today from his pediatrician and tomorrow my son goes to see the neurologist. The doctor said the will probably want to do the EKG tomorrow morning to find out what is going on. I will hope for the best. In the meantime we are just monitoring him to make sure he is safe if he has another seizure. Thank you to all that replied and have him in your prayers. I will let him know how much people really care even when they don't personally know you. This is a great community and proud to be part of it.

My prayers and heart goes out. I am a dad and can empathize and have some semblance of what it feels like to experience it having had some things happen to my own children that scared us.

            Take Care.

I want to thank everyone for their concern. He is now on medication. He went one day this week with no seizures but he had another one this morning. I have become very paranoid now. Every time I hear a noise jumping up. It just scares the hell out of me. So to everyone that commented that you so much. It means alot.

Keep your spirits up Supercrazy! The've been making some good progress in the fields of pediatric neurology, and anti-seizure/anti-convulsant medications.I myself, just spent a day and a half at Arnold Palmer Childrens Hospital in Orlando with my youngest son (9) hooked up to a 24 hour EEG on 08-19-08 checking his seizure activity. He has been under care for his epilepsy for 4years now and the frequencey and severity of his seizures have decreased dramaticaly! The most important thing is to keep a bright outlook, exspecialy in the presence of your son, because as frightening as it is to witness your son having a seizure, it's way more frightening to the little guy himself! And you are the one he looks to for comfort. You become a lifeline your son will reach out for in the panic that follows a bad seizure,The more positive and confident you are, the quicker your son will stabilize. If you are feeling depessed or helpless, your son will pick up on that..... he needs you , a lifeline has to be the strongest, most unbreakable rope you can find, or if it seems frayed and weak , you won't put your faith in it.
I know how hopless your feeling, when you first find out what's happening with your little guy, it's a huge shock to your whole world! But now that you know, its gonna be a uphill climb, the meds dont control the seizures instantly, it takes a while to get them under control, but have faith my friend, they will help. Little by little , bit by bit, he'll gradully improve!
We'll keep you in our prayers for a quick improvement!

                                God Bless,
