i had Childhood epilepsy and would have siezures. i was put on medication and by the time i was ready to drive i was rechecked and taken off the meds. i haven't had a siezure since and i don't remember the ones i did have they were so long ago. so keep both your hopes up and know others have been there and come through with flying colors and wish you all the best!

I'll be sure to pray for him and all of your family.

My oldest nice would have the "stop breathing" type of seizures when she was about 1 and they would come on everytime she caught a mild cold until she was about 4, then I guess she outgrew them or something, but very scary ... we had to make many 911 calls

                hi mate

sad news to hear, i hope your boy is going to be ok

i must tell you i know what your going through, my brother mark had severe epilepsy from birth, had seizures every day, sometimes for a few mins and one time the worrst in my memory he was in a seizure for hours, only very strong adult amount of meds could control it, my bro had a few other situations going on too, he had a extra y chromosone in his makeup, he was deaf from birth and had a growth disorder, he grew to 7ft 5in size 16 feet by 15 or 16 years old.
imajine a boy that big going down in a fit, lets just say furniture got moved and he broke bones and had a face looking like he been in a war from the bashing it got.
then trying to move him after a fit was hard, as he then slept for hours afterwards and was a hell of a weight to move.
sadly theres no happy end to this short story, mark was a twin to my other brother matt, mark was 21 when he died, he had a seizure in a shower, slipped and fell and broke his neck. he survived for 6 months laid up in a hospital bed, paralised from the neck down, i went to visit him everyday to hand feed him and stuff like that, he had lost his voice and could no longer speak, they were very tough times i can tell you.
he caught just about every virus living in hospitals to go on top of his already troubles, then one day he just gave up and passed. age 21, what a hell of an existence he had.
that was 5 years ago now.
im sorry its a sad story, life pretty much sucks in many ways

my message here is to love your kids, love your brothers and sisters and your family and freinds, and try and tell them once in a while.

i do hope they find out whats wrong with your boy and solve it quickly, lets hope it stops as quick as it started.
all i can say is cherish him as im sure you do, wrap him in cotton wool and protect him. drop everything and everyone and be with him. your love, strength and support will be the most important medicine he could get.

you will also go through some tense times in your body and mind so be strong and be ready for that, look after yourself also mate.

                im praying

SuperCrazy, what's your first name, as well as your son's?

I have an extended "family" prayer group, and I'll put out your names. We use the internet to spread the word for "intentions" and I would bet there's literally thousands of people who will include your names in their intentions. The tradition is that those praying actually name of the people who the prayers are for. That way you become real to them.

Man, that's terrible. I can't imagine. My best wishes to you and your family. Hopefully this is just a small bump in the road and they'll get it under control.

Lo there do I see my Father.
Lo there do I see my Mother and my Sisters and my Brothers.
Lo there do I see the line of my people back to the begining.
                              Lo they do call me.
