Sure... Between making snowballs and ice fishing we watch out for our friends... 9/11 2001 we opened up our airports and homes for our American brothers and sisters. A few years before that we saved a bunch of embassy staff from getting their butts fatwahed by some crazy Iranians.

So make fun of our National Anthem, and have your athletes lay out our Maple Leaf on the dressing room floor in order to step on it as part of some supposed pre-game psych. That's all right -- we're watching your back...

AUSTRALIA is 5th in the world. . .not bad for 20 million people. Number 1 in the world per Capita.

Almost all of our medals have been won by Queenslanders (the state where I come from). I think 5 out of 6 golds, 5 out of 7 bronzes and all of the silver have been won by people from my home state (We have always been the swimming capital here).

Our news service showed the leaderboard. . . using only our state as a country (instead of Australia). We were 6th in the world. . .as opposed to 5th in the World, when All Australia is counted. Pretty darn good!

Your guy Phelps is a TOTAL MEGA-LENGEND too. WOW!!

I admit I'm a major Olympic junkie. I think a couple of Canadians have won some swimming medals and I know the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team is playing Canada tomorrow I think in the knock out stage.

Mexico won a medal in synchronized diving.

If it came down to population, you would think China would wipe everyone out. They have 1.3 billion compared to 300 million in the U.S. The medal count is close right now but once the Track and Field portion starts, the U.S. is going to start racking up medals left and right. I don't think the Chinese Olympians can fare well in any sports besides diving, gymnastics, martial arts, and some of those lame sports like badmiton and table tennis. Once track and field begins, the U.S. will start to pull away.

It won't last. Like I said, besides the few remaining diving competitions, maybe some martial arts, ping pong, badminton, and women's gymnastics, it's basically over.

Once the track and field events start next week, the USA will be start racking up the golds.

I think when our athletes got there and found there was no Tim Hortons and the only beer was that pi**water Tiger crap, they just said screw it, and lost all motivation.

I also read on MSN news the other day that there was a great deal of...errr...fornicating....going on between the athletes. Thats where our Canuck team really wins the medals!!

Oddly, my sister's best friend (and surrogate sister to me) won a bronze, silver and gold back in '84.
