The sad fact is they don't want to get out of it. Their "Bigfoot Expeditions" will most likely net them some profit, as will a tell-all book (which they talk about on their youtube vid), in addition to news and magazine articles, and possibly paid appearances, for years to come. They'll spin the story in some way which will allow them to save public face and even be perceived to one-up the skeptics: The gorilla suit was a ruse and the body still exists somewhere; the "human" DNA was actually bigfoot DNA but the lab worker didn't see the minute difference between the two; the third "untestable" sample was the bigfoot DNA which got corrupted by the lab, etc. etc. These guys just made their career for years or decades to come.

Don't be so sure of that...my Spidey sense is tingling...and it's saying...watch out dudes...the law is coming soon.
The thing is, though, that lying to the public is not against the law. Maybe it should be, but AFAIK the state of Georgia does not have a law prohibiting hoaxers like these from plying their trade.
What I'm trying to figure out is the so-called scientist in Minnesota who gave the DNA report. What does an entomologist have to do with this? Why use a guy who studies insects? At least that's what the my local paper says he is.
Well, a scientist trained in DNA comparison is a scientist trained in DNA comparison. Insects are kingdom Animalia just like primates, and a degreed biologist in whatever specialized field should have the capacity to identify material from other phyla, classes, orders, and families.
Sample 1: Human Sample 2: Oppossum Sample 3: Untestable due to courrupted state. Some independent validation would be nice, but until we have a second opinion it looks like these Georgia boys are exactly what we all thought they are: liars.
It just seems weird to me. To me it'd be like going to a podiatrist if you have something wrong with your eyes. If they had an anthropologist chime in,I wouldn't be as suspicious.
These dopes don't run Bigfoot expeditions by the way. As far as I know only the BFRO does and the BFRO is not associated with them. After I have surgery donw on my knee I would consider going on an expedition myself:
"These Georgia buffoons do not run bigfoot expeditions and never have. That's just another one of their lies. They are simply two clowns in Georgia who put some bogus videos on YouTube that got some attention. They initially offered bigfoot expeditions because they were aware of the popularity of BFRO expeditions.
When they first got some press attention in Georgia, the press attention attracted the notorious Carmine Thomas Biscardi. Among other sleazy ventures, Biscardi has been pushing hoaxed bigfoot evidence for several years now. He seems to pop up wherever the bigfoot subject is getting local press attention -- a sort of Reverend Al Sharpton of the bigfoot world. "
