RIP Bigfoot...I thought you were great in that movie where you turned to look straight at the audience and then walked away....wow breaking that fourth wall was never done so well...you'll be missed.....

    ...oh it's a fake.....maybe we'll see a sequal then....

^ ^ ^ The 1967 Gimlin-Patterson film to which you refer, Bo8a Fett, is the only piece of bigfoot evidence my senses tell me is genuine. I've examined the footage carefully, sometimes for hours at a time, and I've noted, among other features, that you can actually see the musculature expand and contract beneath the fur as the subject ambulates. The legs, arms and torso ripple with subtle bulges and concavities. No ape-suit in any Hollywood film prior to Rick Baker's 1984 Greystoke has such lifelike surface anatomy. (In Beneath the Planet of the Apes, a multi-million dollar movie released in 1969, the nude ape-suits of Dr. Zauis and General Ursus hang loose like furry robes from the actor's frames.) Most fascinating of all is that the Patterson creature has pendulous female breasts!

Like many others on this site, I've studied human muscular anatomy and know it well; I've also studied primate physiology at the collegiate level. My educated opinion is that the creature in the Patterson film is a human-like primate, as yet undiscovered and uncatalogued. If this film is a hoax, it is the single-most convincing hoax ever perpetrated.

I meant the fake referance to the latest story...sorry for the confusion there Vorti...I too think the evidence for the Gimlin-Patterson film is hard to dispute and it has awed me since I were but a young whippersnapper ...

Then we're on the same page. Most people who "believe in" or accept the possibility of bigfoot have looked closely at Patterson and find it hard to dispute.

Of course, there are numerous claimants to have worn the suit, including a very convincing Bob Heironomous, who also claims to have made the suit himself, with football padding underneath, and can walk very much like the "creature" in the film.

There was a great doc on it last year that really delved into the film....taking into account the impossible (for a human) stride of the beast....leg and muscle movement...size of the beast in contrast to it's surroundings....the evidence..as I said was overwhelming that it could no way be a hoax.

Yes, I've seen that program, and I agree it does an excellent job of presenting the facts. (For the record, I formed my opinions independently of the show! I agree with its conclusions but it did not persuade me into my current stance.)

Bob Heironomous' case that he made/wore the "suit" is undermined by the fact that in comparison videos, his leg remains straight as he walks, while the Patterson creature bends its leg almost at a ninety degree angle... and yet both remain the same height in those frames. This clearly indicates that "Patty" outsizes Heironomous. Its arms are also much longer than a human being's. The fur is also clearly real animal fur of some kind, rather than the synthetic fibers seen in the POTA ape suits, which represented the state of the art at the time.

Last time me and my friends were hanging out, one of them mentioned he had seen a place called "The Bigfoot Cafe". That got us to speculating what might be on the menu and here are some of the things we came up with:
                Sas-squash
                Spa-yeti
                Peach Chupa-cobbler
                Abominable Sno-cone

My friend and I, whilst travelling through the wooded mountains last week, speculated that a Sasquatch from Seskatchewan would be called a Sasquatchewan. Every one hundred and fifty years, these creatures get together for a sesquicentennial celebration called a Sesquisasquatchewentennial.

And speaking of legends. How many of you remember when Aloysius Snuffleupagus was just a figment of a bird brain?

In order for a species to maintain am existing population...it has to number at the very least in the hundreds, not one or two lone individuals. In this heavily populated and technologically advanced country, not too spot them in any significant numbers equals NO BIGFOOTS EXISTING WHATSOEVER.

                            Thank you and good night.
