I've tried, there's a Redline Proline cruiser hanging in the garage right now in pieces. Picked up and released a couple of Motomag Mongoose (geese?), Schwinn Scrambler w/Tuffs, few various Redlines from the 80's. Just gave a guy here at work a General Hustler freestyle for him and his kid to restore.

When we moved about 4 years ago, I sold off as a package 65/67/74 Stingrays, 71 Apple Crate, Murray Firecat and boxes of 70's bmx parts. I only have room for so much stuff, maybe a barn is in my future?

Oh, I have an old Klien mountain bike frame/fork set I think I'm gonna build up eventually. LOL

I am in the process of restoring a 1986 Hutch Trickstar and a 1985 Skyway TA. The Trickstar has a sweet set of aerospeed cranks on it but the chrome is starting to flake.

I'd love to pick up a nice looptail Quad or PK Ripper or even a nice Thruster, Id also like to get a sweet old early 80's mongoose or mag scrambler.

me too lol, i had my 1st bmx bike at around 16 or so? when i was working and could afford to buy a 2nd hand one

i didnt have one as a child, they were far too expensive for my disabled mum to buy

when i went to work at 14 i saved up and bought the toys i never had a kid from bootsales and 2nd hand sales and junk shops, i think i paid about £30 for my 1st bike which is a bout $60 it was well used lol i had to respray it

those days are a long way away now lol i am currently making a new old stock raleigh super burner with factory fresh old unsold parts, im currently on about a £500/$1000 spend and i dont have any wheels yet

heres a pic of the super burner mk1, only mine will be mint unused A1

its a set of them yellow skyways i need lol, hard to find a mint unused set, iknow they make repro ones in the same mold now but its not what i want

I remember the Redline squareback had just came out and all the Astabula stuff, Tuffs, Motomags, remember the Tuf Neck? etc. There were Redline, Mongoose, Webco, Stroker, Cook Bros., Dan Gurney all in the neighborhood in no time flat. I cut a hell of a lot of grass for my bikes back then and pieced together my first Redline (the rare first year nickel MXII). Damn near polished the thing raw. Eventually saved enough for a white Proline with the Dura Ace cranks, Cook Brothers sealed hubs and bearings, all top end stuff !

Lot's of great memories from those days. They mean more to me than any of my toy's did, to bad it's takes so much room for any kind of bicycle collection.
