Yeah, I heard he had a really bad bout with pneumonia a few years back, and never really recovered. I guess it came back and got him. Sad news. He was very funny and I liked his show a lot.Comment

He suffered from a disease called sarcoidosis...he had battled this throughout his life...but it finally catched up to him.
He was one funny mofo...like Hue said...he had a great small role in Bad Santa...he was also known for the Ocean's Eleven movies with George Clooney and Brad Pitt (they were all buddies in real life too)...but he was probably best known for The Bernie Mac show....and the Kings of Comedy...the most successful comedy tour in history.
