I think this is a very appropriate ending in memory of Bernie Mac...the final scene of Ocean's Eleven, where all the guys gathered at the fountain with that beautiful melody in the background...Clair De Lune by Debussy:

Man, that sucks. His show was one of the last live action comedies I watched regularly. now the only good stuf on the tube are cartoons. RIP Bernie.

I didn't even know he was sick. That's sad, because he was a talented and funny guy. I remember the first time I watched Kings of Comedy. I was sick, couldn't keep food down, and just miserable. My husband showed up with a copy of KoC to keep me entertained. Great stuff. As I'm looking at various pictures of Bernie Mac now, I can't help but noticed what a great smile he had.

i would think in this day and age that pneumonia would be something easily cured?

I contracted pneumonia in 2004 (and placed on a respirator)...but my lungs were in excellent shape prior to the infliction of pneumonia...so I was able to fend off the stuff.

Mac suffered from sarcoidosis, an inflammatory lung disease that produces tiny lumps of cells in the body's organs, but had said the condition went into remission in 2005...the pneumonia complications were obviously connected to his sarcoidosis disease, meaning that his lungs were probably already scarred and not in the best of shape to fight of a recurring and severe case of pneumonia.

                        Very unfortunate.

His small part as the used car salesman in transformers was great. 50 just to darn young.

Yes, very sad. I was surprised and a little shocked myself at the news.
