Say hello to Zippy!!

After Mrs. TBolt read about the 40 animal a day intake average at Polk County Animal Services, she really wanted to do something. We went two Saturdays ago to see about adopting another dog. There was this dirty little poodle looking mutt there. She was a stray picked up with no ID or chip. Her number was going to be up at the end of that day and she was going to be put down. Soooo.... needless to say, she's now living with us and the four other mutts. After a haircut and a bath, she doesn't loos so ruff. She's actually turned out to be a great fit, totally housetrained, eats real good and starting to live up to her new name.

For some reasone, she's afraid of the camera, so its tough to get good shots

Very cool of your wife to take in another pooch. Has she ever given any thought to getting involved with animal rescue and/or fostering? Zippy looks like a nice dog. That reminds me. You had posted before about a stray that showed up at your house and I was trying to find rescue groups in your area. Did you guys end up keeping that one or taking him to the shelter?

^^^ Well, in hindsight we should have kept that one, but I did get it to a rescue group.

^^^ She is getting along just fine, well except with Punkin. Punkin is just angry at everything, tho.

A big congratulations. Her luck has certainly changed now she has a wonderful family! I'm sure she will grow on Punkin.

man, you guys rock..that is so cool that you adopt the doggys...my wife and sis in law would be proud of you. they are so pro animal rights and are always trying to do things like that. our 2nd pug was a rescue from a puppy mill here in OK...he was in bad shape...huge rash/skin thing...but now he's a great dog and is a great pet...our 3 cats were all rescued etc..too...

We think she's a cocker spaniel/poodle. Anybody got one that can confirm this?
