I rushed out of the house this morning to make a 10:30 departure at the Roaring Camp Railroad in Felton, California (quite an undertaking since it is 85 miles one way from our house). Final destination, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. As I drove away with all kids in tow (including my mom), I realized that I forgot to grab an action figure...luckily enough, Dorothy's head was bobbing around in the car. Sorry for the incomplete figure, but she was a trooper today.
This is the entrance to the train station.

This is the steam train from the 1880s that takes this daily one hour and fifteen minute trip to the beach from Felton.

The weather was absolutely stunning today. A very slight breeze and perfectly warm without being too hot. I have not been there for a very long time, but the boardwalk is kept very pristine and does not look run down at all, considering how old it is.

Here is Dorothy taking in the wonderful sights:

The end.
