Statement from Ben Williams, Mississippi Highway patrol sergeant:
“Mr. Freeman was involved in an accident around 11:30pm yesterday. Mr. Freeman was driving a 1997 Nissan Maxima. The vehicle was traveling eastbound on Mississippi highway 32 in Tallahatchie County. The vehicle ran off the edge of the road and began to flip several times. Mr. Freeman and the passenger involved were wearing seatbelts. The passenger was Demaris Meyer [female.] Mr. Freeman was airlifted to the MED in Memphis.”
“The doors were jammed on the vehicle from the rolling and flipping. We had to break the doors open with the jaws of life to extract him. There’s no suspicion that alcohol or drugs were involved, according to the investigating officer. It would be speculation on my behalf to say he fell asleep at the wheel. This was a rural road. We just don’t know what happened to cause him to run off the road.”

Freeman is a great actor ---------- Loved him in Shawshank and Glory ......
But if the crash was his fault, I hope everyone don't just excuse him without an investigation.

I thought the same thing. With the death of the stunt drive, Ledger, Bale's arrest and allegations, and now this. But it appears that Freeman is going to be okay. He does have a broken arm and requires surgery, though.How long until the Internet rumors of a "Dark Knight" curse start poppping up?
