Sure is....the oldest ship in the British Navy (as it's still on the books) and is open to visiters at portsmouth.
this is what you call an beatiful aircraft...

and if our stupid government had allowed this to go ahead in 1959

this is still the original ship too....it faught in the war of independance and was Nelson's flagship at Trafalger....preserving this also proberly gave our guys insight into preserving your boat.

Bo Fett...I have to admit your Harrier jet is one of my all-time favorite fighters...very beautiful...and I love its vertical takeoff...we are appreciative that you have sold many to the USA..we love them.

Having said that...it's not match against the F 22 Raptor...but yes...the Harrier is prettier...there's nothing pretty about the Raptor...that's just one mean baddass machine.

The Harrier has the ability to VIFF (vector in forward flight) making it a much more manouverable fighter than originally devised (discovered by pilots during the Falklands war), and can out manouver most jets flying today.
The Raptor has vectored nozzles too but is nowhere near as effective as the harriers VIFFing...it certainly would be an interesting dogfight.....The Eurofighter (or Typhoon II), is designed to be unstable in the air to increase it's manouverability....you wanna see one of these babies being thrown around the sky....it is an awesome sight...again it would be an interesting dogfight.

This is the tsr2....a plane so advanced the Tornado ALMOST could do what it could ....25 years or so AFTER the project was scrapped....remember....this was designed as a BOMBER and was cancelled in 1965....and started the death of the British Aircraft Industry...sometimes I could really kill politicians...

The American has the horrible 80s music for background, and it's just showned cruising...while the Brit one has that cool Bond-like music track, and it's shown blasting other fighters outta the sky, lol.

You forgot to mention the number one thing that makes the Raptor much more deadly...it's STEALTH capabilities.

true...but i don't like how it's weapons are all hidden in the infostructure to give it a stealth profile....the swinging hastches are just one more thing that could go wrong when needed...as Scotty says "the more they overthink the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain ..."

This is true...one thing the Raptor is...high maintenance...and a HUGE price tag.
