    Your perfect song?

This one is mine. It's beautiful in it's complexity and message. My wife always comes to my mind when I hear it. To me this song is like a masterpiece painting. This is the song they will play at my funeral. I really can't describe my feelings when I hear the song I just know I'm happy to be alive with such a beautiful sound in my ears.

It's a tie for me. I don't really know how to decipher a perfect song from my favorite, but here's two.

Journey/Separate Ways - My fav tune of all time. It's powerful, catchy as hell and just flows perfectly. My former band attmpted this tune, but the vocals were a tad out of my comfort range. It's no wonder Steve Perry blew his chords up.

WHitesnake/Still of the Night - THis song has everything. It has the best riff in rock history, great vocals, dynamic songwriting that shifts from balls out rock to an orchestrated interlude and perfect production.

Man, I would be easier to pick a top 100 than just one or a few.

Probably for me the top would be John Hiatt's Slow Turning. It's a great song about becoming middle aged. Summed up well without too much drama.

Bob Seger's Against the Wind. And the older I get, the more meaning it has to me.
