The thing with villains like The Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman is that they've been done before and, like it or not, the versions that stick the most in people's minds are the '66 TV versions. Add to that the Burton/Schumacher versions and it's a been there, done that attitude. So anything in the DK franchise has to bring something new to the character...like Ledger did with the Joker. Which is maybe why they opened with Ra's Al Ghul and Scarecrow...brand new for live action. Of course, once you take out the "Big Four" plus Ra's, Two-Face, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy and Scarecrow (who have all been done before)...who is left as an "A-list" villain that people will want to see? The only one off the top of my head is Clayface. Certainly not Killer Moth...

I want the movie to feature Dr. Hugo Strange. He's a really messed up character. And they have to show him wearing a Batsuit. And his mannequin. They have to use the mannequin. He's weird enough to fit into the current movie universe, and doesn't have superpowers or require any cg effects.

If they cast A. Jolie, I will seriously consider skipping the movie in its theatrical run. In my opinion, she is a horrible actress. I think it is way too early to speculate on casting for a sequel--but the best fit I've seen so far is Phillip Hoffman as the Penguin. I think I read that in a rumor for "The Dark Knight" a few years ago. I still love it.

And isn't it odd that they end this one with The Fugi-bat being hunted by Gotham's finest(Hunt the Dark Knight, anyone?)and in Strange's last incarnation he was a police psychiatrist helping the Gordon's task force hunt the Dark Knight by supplying a personality profile for them. Hmmmm....

Yeah Ledger and Freeman are big names.I've been a Bale fan way before the Batman movie,if you watch some of his early stuff you'd be surprised how good some were

While I agree Angelina Jolie is not the best actress in the world (although she's far from horrible, she's for example a much better actress than Jessica Alba, who herself was not bad as the Invisible Woman))...she's great-looking and fits the Catwoman part perfectly...you don't need a Shakespearean thespian to play that role...if one thing Jolie can do...is act sexy and mysterious...those are the only two attributes needed for the role of Catwoman.

You will see the movie...stop kidding yourself.

Ok, so you're probably right. I just don't see her as embodying the type of quality that this series has put forth so far. She may be even worse casting than Katie Holmes, and that is saying something. I don't think that she is even remotely attractive, but lets just say that most people do. You can find a great looking woman who is also a good/great actress. Don't think that is too much to ask.
