Let's not forget Lisa Garza...she came in second in the latest Next Food Network Star competition...she should've won...but they gave it to Aaron McCargo, Jr., an African-American male chef...he was really good too...the Food Network was under the gun to hire more minority chefs...that's why I think he was chosen (but well-deserved anyway...the guy is very personable and can really cook too).

But Lisa Garza is a talented cook, a great on-air personality, and has the looks...I think the Food Network will hire her eventually anyway...

Alton Brown is an inferior cook...Bobby Flay smokes him left and right.

I can't stand Alton Brown, he's not really a scientist either.

He's obnoxious, tries to be too funny. and takes credit for all the scientific info on the show.

But when he was in the The Next Food Network Star...he was all of a sudden serious and humorless, not warmth to the contestants whatsoever...kinda rude in fact...showing his true colors...I just wanted to slap him silly.

" smokes" him , you made a funny. I use to like bobby flay until he realized he was a star and started acting like it. I watch them and and enjoy them . I don't put the TV infront of the kitchen and cook , i watch it for enjoyed.

you CAN cook what Alton and racheal makes . you CAN'T typically cook emerils , bobby, italian **** , and many of the others food unless you make a laundry list of items to buy at speciality shops.
