wow that sucks,I recently got a virus that screwed up my whole PC,I lost everything

I had to do the same restore and at first everything was fine again but within a day or two everything got worse,it started slowing up big time.So you're not out of the woods yet.

i had a similar problem a couple of weeks back..went to start pc and it said that windows had a corrupt or missing file and wouldnt start...luckily with vista, you can pop in the disc and it will usually fix the file that is missing or whatever. dont know what the problem was. lol. thankfully, i do a backup of my files every couple of weeks..just in case...i usually use a dvd to back up my stuff...i have a lot. but have wanted to get a flash drive recently...4gb one for about 20 bucks...that is a great deal..lol...anywho..rambling now....

I had the blue screen of death for a while last week....hqad to boot into safe mode and do a full sweep and roll back some drivers before I got it up and running again....really hate that when the pc decides to throw a tizzy...shouting "WORK DAMN YOU!!!" doesn't work...i've tried....I get snappy and moriband when my pc goes down...the kids know to stay away when daddy's shouting at the computer....lol

Mine is messed up right now.
Constantly running out of RAM.

And once I open my Yahoo account, my RAM count plummets like Phantom Menace carded figures....

I really hate it when I get that error message: "Please stop touching me!".

Vista blows and I never download the new updates till I google them to see what probs peeps are having.

I don't know if it was the actual update or not that caused the problems, but that's my best guess. So be careful of that update "WINDOWS VISTA SERVICE PACK 1" Don't do it!

Vista is really tricky. With the Service Pack 1 you need to make sure everything downloaded into the system correctly. You can do that by clicking on the recent updates viewing screen. For some reason I have been told it will "forget" a few things and continue to install Service Pack one.
Unfortunately what it "forgets" to do is install some serious files. So when it loads Service Pack 1 it gets lost when it looks for the critical files.
I think they fixed that it was a major concern.
Just keep in mind to check all the things it downloads. One or two files missing could screw up some stuff.
Usually programs like Avast or any really type secure firewalls block these files. You might want to lower your security when downloading crucial files from Microsft.
