My wife, our six-year-old son and I just got back from my first-ever San Diego Comic Con and, boy, was it exhausting! Fun, but exhausting. I didn't really attend any of the panels, instead focusing on the dealer room and the freebies. I scored several Funko Wacky Wobbler exclusives (a two-pack of H.R Pufnstuf and Witchiepoo, and an Enik bank!) and bought lot's of other stuff I didn't need. It was fun, but... it was so damned crowded.
I would like to go again, but maybe not for a few years. All that walking and the crowds are tough on six-year-olds, and attending panels would have been even tougher, but I'm sure when he's nine or ten he'd be much more into it.
Wednesday night, Thursday and Friday were spent at comic-con, while Saturday was a Legoland extravaganza.
One of the highlights of the trip was visiting with the amazing Art Balthazar, aka Megomilk on here. He did a great sketch of myself as Batman and Fletcher as Robin that I'll scan as soon as I have time.
Here are some pics:
