Can Dark Knight seriously challenge Titanic?

Dark Night reaches $300 million in just ten days...wow!!!

Some insiders say that this is the movie that might seriously challenge Titanic's $600 million domestic box office record.

The key aside from achieving early record numbers, is repeat paying customers (I myself have gone twice already)...it will pass Spider-Man and Star Wars for sure.

Titanic...here comes the Dark Knight!!!

BTW I called it wrong...I didn't think Dark Knight was going to topple Iron Man...but it already matched its numbers...faster than a speeding bullet.

We'll see when it does break Shrek 2's record. I'm not doubting it won't,I'
m just saying when it does we'll have a better understanding of where it will stand when it's all said and done.

My wife doesn't normally go in for the whole Super Hero thing. . .sepecially the Movies. . .she condones it in our house. . .cause she loves me (So she ays anyway ). . . BUT. . . she wanted to see TDK. . .and before the credits started to roll. . . she said she wants to see it again. . . I don't think she has EVER gone to see a movie twice before ever.

This movie is capturing A LOT of new folk . . and everyone wants to see it more than once. . .we are going AGAIN in the next hour!

I'm not sure about beating Titanic. That had so much repeat business, and boyfriends/husbands dragged to it. I know we're dragging our significant others to DK, but let's face it, Titanic is more of a date movie (even though it's depressing as hell).I think it should handily beat Shrek 2. Put me in the camp that can't believe that made that much money.

Oh and as far as summer movies, as the summer progressed, and Indy's buzz deflated somewhat due to mediocre reviews, I felt like DK MIGHT trump both Indy and Iron Man. When I heard of them selling out of tickets at midnight showings, I pretty much knew it would open up huge, but it still surprised me!

Titanic depressing? Watching Leonardo die with that beautiful hue of blue was my favorite part. Plus I can never forget the girl's fiance' (what's the actor's name who played the Phantom?) chasing Leonardo through the boat with a gun. Every time he took a shot I felt like crying out "Slam evil!".
