    Plot Summary: Space-time vortexes suck.

Will Ferrell stars as has-been scientist Dr. Rick Marshall, sucked into one and spat back through time. Way back. Now, Marshall has no weapons, few skills and questionable smarts to survive in an alternate universe full of marauding dinosaurs and fantastic creatures from beyond our world—a place of spectacular sights and super-scaled comedy known as the Land of the Lost.

Sucked alongside him for the adventure are crack-smart research assistant Holly (Anna Friel) and a redneck survivalist (Danny McBride) named Will. Chased by T. rex and stalked by painfully slow reptiles known as Sleestaks, Marshall, Will and Holly must rely on their only ally—a primate called Chaka (Jorma Taccone)—to navigate out of the hybrid dimension. Escape from this routine expedition gone awry and they’re heroes. Get stuck, and they'll be permanent refugees in the Land of the Lost.

Based on the classic television series created by Sid & Marty Krofft, "Land of the Lost" is directed by Brad Silberling and produced by Jimmy Miller and Sid & Marty Krofft.

I'll go if it looks anything like the old show. Love me some Sleestaks.

Great find! I'll have to check it out. They won't be able to make an intro as cool as the old one though.

hesitant to see itfor 2 reasons, Will Farrel and it's a remake, 90% of TV remakes have been horrible. Bewitched, I Spy, Beverly Hillbillies etc..
Looking for Infinite Heroes Robin and Catwoman
          And Super Powers Batman

Will Ferrell is reason enough NOT to see this film... That and the fact that they're going to b@5t@r)ize LOTL is even more of a reason not to bother with it...

A lot of people think because it's a Krofft show that it's just ready for a schlocky treatment, but if you look at that show, especially the first season, it is a lot better and more serious than one might think... They had top writers and David Gerrold as the story editor so that right there shows they were trying to make something better than say "Sigmund and the Sea Monsters"... Yes, things were toned down due to it being a show mainly intended for the Saturday Morning crowd, but it's far better than it's given credit for...

Had they said they were going to use the basis of the show for an action/adventure type film I'd have seen it... But a comedy: No way...

So, Rick Marshall must be reduced a boob, for Will Ferrell to play him. Just like in every other film Ferrell has starred in. It really says something about the quality of Ferrells acting.
