who were we going to pay to be Batman this time...Brad Pitt,Tom Cruise? we already tried with some of the biggest names out there in Kilmer and Clooney and look at how that turned out

Bad guys always have to have a gimmick ........

Y'know....

The current buzz over the new Batman movie is almost EXACTLY like the buzz over the Keaton one. "Takes the character back to his darker roots.... maybe too dark for the kids.... the guy playing the Joker is BRILLIANT.... great depth of character....." I've heard it all before. The last time the 80's happened. And yeah, I'm kinda sick of it.

No matter how good a job you do, it's still just Batman. And it's kinda sad that we'll apparently never get past this point. That whatever incarnation of "The Dark Knight Returns" that's currently making the rounds is (for most folks) gonna be the pinnacle for North American comic books.

Why is the actor who plays Joker not American ?

The movie is set in America

The characters are American

Why couldn't they cast American actors in the roles ?

Well,...

I for 1,.. think that Batman is a much greater Character Icon than Boba Fett will ever be,.. & would NEVER compair the 2 together.

While I for the Most part have loved all things Batman for the last 25 yrs, in reading the Comics,.. Watching the Timm & CO toons, & The DC Black & White Statues,.. as well as both the Versions of the 13" DCD Figure,.. & a Hand full of other DC Direct figures. & Both the Mego 8inch versions of the character.

Now where Batman is My Favorite Comicbook Character,.. next to Hal Jordan, Green Lantern here is what I am more so "Burnt out" On when it regaurds the character.

All the Horrible Mattel or Hasbro figures threwout the yrs. Once you get past the Animated Series,.. I think all the other Batman figures have just pretty Much been Crap,.. besided the DC 9" Batman,.. & a small Handful of the 4horsemen Batmen.

I am also Pretty much just upset with every Batman Movie I have ever saw.... I know when a comicbook Idea reaches the Big Screen,.. it will take on a "Hollywood" idea,.. more so than a Comicbook one...., but I have just read way too damn many Batbooks in my Time,.. to be able to apreciate anything I have thus far saw on the big Screen when it comes to the Property.

There,.. I gave you some for both sides.

BTW .... I guess the 50 threads in General Buzz about Batman,.. seemed to have warrented this Post.
