    Jimmy Buffett has died.

Farewell to "Margaritaville" singer Jimmy Buffett, who died Friday at 76: "He lived his life like a song till the very last breath," a statement read.

Had no idea he was that crazy rich.

He was a mogul, for sure. Listend to his Sirius XM station a lot, and saw him in concert in Louisville 10 years ago. Great show. Really shocked by this.

Man..I really wanted to see him live in person...

His writings changed my life years ago...A Salty Piece of Land being the stand out novel in his collection.

          He will be missed.
          Wanted:

A few years ago when I had a cardiac catheterization and was doped up with twilight anesthesia the doctor had Jimmy Buffett's Greatest Hits playing during the whole time.

Went out and bought the CD the next day

            RIP

Saw him probably 8-10 times. We made a point to see him anytime he hit the NC/SC/GA area. Had tix to see him in Chucktown this April, (I think) and it was cancelled. I figured it probably was a bad omen. RIP to a legend.

Concert of the day in the basement (pre-football tonight): Jimmy Buffett Live by the Bay (on laserdisc) circa 1985!

I rocked Jimmy Buffett tunes on my commute home from work.

I have a deep personal connection to his cover of "Southern Cross" by Crosby, Stills, and Nash and teared up a bit listening to it.

I was and am a Parrothead. His music will forever connect me to a simpler time, and my love of sandy beaches, sunny days, and catching a cool wave.

I Jack Johnson's cover of my favorite Buffett song. I can hear it over and over again.

You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.
