    Bad summer

Surviving this Texas summer as not been as easy as I had hoped.

1st my main air conditioner decided to die. It's old and came with the house so I expected this to happen at some point but not in the middle of summer. Lucky I was able to get some window units in at least 4 rooms (living room, bedroom, tv room and walk-in closet that boyfriend takes up more than half).

2cd The TV room is where we watch most of our night time shows so I installed my big screen 3D Tv with surround sound in there. Well today the TV I got around when Avatar was released to Blu-Ray (2010) has died and as far as I know they stopped making them. Now begins the grueling part of finding to replace it.

I know it's silly to miss a TV but it was fun to watch movies in 3D without having to pay the extra at the theater. We spent our COVID money turning the extra bedroom into a great home theater with a snack bar that fit in the closet.

Not to mention that the nephew comes down during the week during the summer. Normally we would be at the beach most of the week but that temperature has ruled that out, even the water is too warm. We decided to not take our July family vacation because of the heat. I mean who wants to walk around a Zoo or Sea World when it's close to 100 degrees.

Sorry just needed vent a little.

Bless you, 'Ep! Glad you were able to get the window units in quickly. My 42-year-old HVAC trooper croaked a few days short of a year ago. Took into August to get window units delivered out here. Was 105°+ inside. Not fun. Surprised at how effective and cheap it is to run window units are now. My light bill almost halved!

          Condolences on your screen...

Very true ... I live on a mountain in the Poconos

Not much to complain about except ski resorts shut down due to excessive snowfall.

            Just kidding, sucks here too.

But, would still rather freeze to death vs. burn to death
