Remember the 70's craze? Not the Mego craze, the other one. CB's

How many of you folks remember CBMcHaul?

    I meand CBMcCall?

This video was put together with Movie Maker, based on the 1977 movie, which I'm pretty darn sure inpired Mego's CBMcHaul.

Awesome vid. I always loved this song.

    Love it!

Hotfoot was my CB Handle in the 70's and I still use it to this day!
(It was a nickname before the CB craze)

My 70's ride! (Dig the twin 9' Whip CB antenna)

Too many toys. Not enough space!

Back home we always had CB's in the trucks and farm equipment....it just made life easier. Even up to the mid -nineties when I left the country for the city life (idiot!!) we still used them. Never used the goofy cb lingo, but we used them all the time. Still have a couple of CB's sitting out in the garage now that I think about it. Wonder if anybody would still be using them if I hooked one up?

I remember telling people about Smokeys in Plain Brown Wrappers and Lokel Yokels with their Gumball Machines on, or Bears in the Grass. Before Radar Detectors it was the best way to avoid speeding tickets, especially back in the days of the double nickel.

Well before that, we used to try and hook up with chicks from the next town over (my friend had a great home base with a massive 20 foot antenna on the roof). Fun stuff on a boring Friday night, when your only transportation was your BMX.

Got your ears on Good Buddy?

My "handle" was 3 Legged Charlie. I was a cocky little *******.

Truckers still use them and are happy that 4 wheelers quit using them!
