Not really a theme song. But NFL Films had some really great Jazz tunes from that time period. This example is a masterpiece to my ears!
…and really early “NFL Films Music: Autumn Thunder Volume 1” has some of the coolest jazz themed music around!!

I do believe so. The whole piece is definitely very brassy, but it also has a very groovy bass line that is very hard to hear in this example. Love it so much, it's the ringtone I use for my other half's incoming calls.
