    RIP Franco Harris

    https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/...s/202207310149

This is made even more surprising and sad for me because I was looking forward to this Saturday's game between the Steelers and Raiders with the retiring of Franco's #32 and the 50th Anniversary Celebration of "The Immaculate Reception". Franco was a huge part of what made me love the NFL as a kid. This weekend in Pittsburgh was going to be all about him and the 1972 Steelers.

This still gives me chills. I don't know what I'm gonna do when we lose Bradshaw.

You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

There’s never a “good” time for an icon to pass away, but this is especially tragic with all of the honors that are planned for him this weekend. If I could give him another week off the end of my own life, I would.

        R.I.P. Franco!
I’m surprised they never retired his number along time ago.

Seemed like a real class act, and I’m a Browns fan. The Steelers don’t retire a lot of numbers so that says a lot.

Very sad news indeed, now they will retire his number with a moment of silence.

As a Pittsburgh native, I was shocked and saddened to hear this, and thought how odd the timing of his passing as are ready to celebrate him this weekend.(also It's suppose to get bitter cold here this weekend which is more of a damper.(
