It's a family size frozen dinner but a real man can easily eat the whole thing by himself

Can honestly say it's pretty dang good
It's not bad but I think it's a little on the dry side. I usually throw a can of turkey gravy on it when I have it.

I’m not, but my wife is. I remember when turkey, gas, housing, and almost everything else used to be much cheaper just a few short years ago.

Well, more inspiration for ya, an old thread of mine. You even posted too…

I had never made pizza from scratch ever before until the pandemic started. I mean, the most I’ve done before was buy that Boboli already made crust from the supermarket. You add your ingredients...and heat it in the oven. That, and heat frozen DiGornio and Red Baron stuff. Well, it was all subpar crap. Also grew tired

    Always.

We got an Open Nature bird, not huge, about 13.5 pounds (only four people will gather). Organic. Farm raised. No antibiotics. No nitrates. Was not cheap.

    I will brine it.

I actually love cooking on Thanksgiving.

absolutely. Can't have Thanksgiving without turkey. we got a 20lb bird. i didn't even look at the cost but i am sure it was exorbitant. it is what it is with prices these days. english muffins at BJ's Whole sale club are 7.50 now. it's outrageous but you gotta eat

No, but then we never have a Turkey or do a traditional Thanksgiving. Going to make the usual homemade Pizza.

For the last 20 yrs I have bought a pre smoked turkey and we all enjoyed it. Before getting these I always hated oven cooked turkey. My daughter has asked that we do a smoked ham this year with the honey glaze. We all decided to do it but it is really bothering my head not having a smoked turkey .

Small gathering this year; just 4 of us. 14 - 16lb. Hen was the smallest we could order. Picking her up Tuesday. Brining starts Wednesday.

started a topic R-U-making turkey this year ?

    R-U-making turkey this year ?

Seems like turkey is kinda expensive these days.

Thinking I might do a store-brand already cooked rotisserie chicken instead

Maybe a box of stuffing on the side.
Working...
