We are the feral generation. We raised ourselves after school. We played outside all day without sunscreen. We rode bicycles all day with no helmets and skateboards with no pads. We played in ditches and pet stray dogs. We drank out of hoses and ate warm sandwiches from lunchboxes. If we cried without a good reason, a good reason was provided for us. We watched scrambled adult movies late at night. We built and pioneered the online world. We are survivors.

I don't think those are all necessarily good things. But I do think Gen X is kind of the unloved and ignored generation.You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing.
